What initially was a hobby quickly became a full-fledged business as people began buying jewelry off her neck. As the originator of the circle necklace, store owners and celebrities were quick to discover this fashion-forward West Coast designer.
Like her jewelry, Adina Reyter has been described by many who know her as “contemporary and classically sophisticated.” Unlike many West Coast designers, Adina doesn’t follow trend.
Growing up in Los Angeles, California, Adina Reyter inherited her mother’s effortless, elegant design sense and style, and watched her father and grandfather run the family knitwear business. She gleaned many lessons from her creative and business-minded family including the confidence to develop her own sense of style. She knew that one day she would have her own creative company that would meld both her fascination with design and her love for business.
The logo for Adina Design is a pomegranate; a symbol very important to the designer. In many cultures, the pomegranate represents virtuosity, honesty, goodness and success – traits important to the designer in both her personal and professional life. Also, in college Adina lived in Granada, Spain. Granada means pomegranate in Spanish.
Adina Reyter graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Economy. She is married to a physician, Ilya Reyter, and they have 2 children: a daughter named Rimona Madeline (Rimona means pomegranate in Hebrew) and her little brother Simon Lyor.
